Marcus Ritschel was born in Dresden(Saxony).
He received first musical education at the age of six and piano lessons at age eight.
For his secondary education he attended the Kreuzschule Dresden where he continued his vocal training and was a member of the Dresdener Kreuzchor.
One of his early non-choral performances was as boy-soprano in The Magic Flute at the Komische Oper Berlin.
After his graduation he went on to study Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bayreuth.
As his musical journey progressed, he became a member of the Türingischer Akademischer Singkreis, the Philharmonic Choir Berlin and a founding member of the ensemble Arcanum Musicae.
Today he works at the CDU Bremen.
